The big question: How many of Florida’s dog-racing tracks will close?

If the Florida Senate the Governor goes along with the State House, the mandate for greyhound racing to exist in the state will be removed. This will leave the decisions to shut down race tracks to each facility.

The St. Petersburg Times today ran one of many articles published of late about this news. Included was a statement from the chief lobbyist for the Florida Greyhound Association, which opposes the bill and fully supports greyhound racing.

I’m in the unusual position of hoping he is right about something – “” He doesn’t think track owners will keep racing if the bill passes. “”

If he is right, this bill will be a grand success. And I then hope the domino effect spreads to all other tracks across the nation.

Of course he supported the bill. :-) It put food on the table by mandated racing.

    Greyt day today.
