As my wife and I and our band of rescues get in some pre-meal snacking and watch the Thanksgiving Day Parade together, it’s time to wish everyone a warm and wonderful Thanksgiving.
We’ve lost several of our older dogs and a cat to various ailments over the last couple of years and at this time of year the feelings can be bitter-sweet. But we are grateful that can we spend time together as a vary diverse family. And we’re thankful that we have been able to adopt two more homeless pets this year.
For Murphy (a lab) and Tillie (a basset/yellow lab mix) it will be their first Thanksgiving with us.
We hope your holidays are filled with hugs, snuggles, family time, great food and maybe a few slobbery licks to the face.
