Now that officials at Tucson Greyhound Park can no longer inject the racing dogs with steroids, due to ordinances banning the practice in Tucson and South Tucson, they’ve made an interesting move.

Female dogs will no longer race at the track.

The claim seems to be that the use of steroids is for birth control. And get this – now the CEO and general manager of the facility is claiming they won’t spay the females because it would cause health risks. – This from an article posted today on the Arizona Daily Star website.
