The SPCA is promoting its rescue dogs in New Zealand by training several of them to drive special little cars. It’s odd. It’s strange. But they might be better drivers than a few people I often encounter in my home town.
Thanks to my brother for passing the following along in an e-mail, through Wordsmith.org.
“Mankind’s true moral test, its fundamental test (which lies deeply buried from view), consists of its attitude towards those who are at its mercy: animals. And in this respect mankind has suffered a fundamental debacle, a debacle so fundamental that all others stem from it”
-Milan Kundera, novelist, playwright, and poet (b.1929)
