A team from the Humane Society of the US took part last month in a rescue at a puppy mill in Gates County, NC.

    I’m curious why they keep responding to all these other animal crises, but they would not respond to the Olympic animal sanctuary dogs! The HSUS allowed those dogs to suffer for years!

    I don’t have an answer for that. I wish we could see real movement forward in animal welfare this year, so that we can shut down every case of cruelty and neglect.

    Sandra, they explained that very clearly, if you would take the time to research and ask them. They would have had to have permission from the local authorities in Forks, WA., where OAS was located. They couldn’t go in and take over legally without the cooperation of local authorities.

    Joanne, that’s actually not true. Trust me, I’ve done my research. And I can’t elaborate more on it unfortunately. I’m just really disappointed in the HSUS.
