A dog suspected of being abandoned near an overpass outside of Stockton, Calif. is in a dangerous situation, as reported by a local CBS station.

Several people have attempted to rescue the dog, including a local dog trainer, but it is too fearful. Water is being left there, but people are calling for more to be done to save this frightened dog.

I don’t understand why a team of volunteers and law enforcement can’t meet on the scene, stop traffic momentary and surround the dog to capture it safely. This is a dangerous situation for the dog and motorists.
