GREY2K USA has released a video showing the manager of the Tucson Greyhound Park refusing a media request to visit the kennel area of his operation.

A previous undercover video had shown greyhounds living in a dark kennel, in cages with only pieces of carpet to rest on – and muzzled. Photos from a subsequent county inspection showed the same scenes.

Yet, in the face of clear video and corraborating photographic evidence, the manager claims people are only seeing what they want to see. And he incredibly claims these kennels are the “ideal place for dogs.” When questioned by the KOLD TV news reporter, he states he wouldn’t allow other pet dogs to live this way, but it’s okay to house racing greyhounds this way.

For that statement alone, he gets a Pack of Putrid Punditry Award.
