
Over 100 dogs seized in Texas puppy mill raid: Officials from the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office and the SPCA of Texas teamed to seized 106 from an alleged puppy mull. Seven dead dogs were also found on the property.
KYTX described the scene this way: “” The dogs were cruelly confined, were not receiving adequate care and were forced to live in their own filth inside a feces-filled, urine-soaked home on the property. “”
Some of the crates contained as many as seven dogs and they suffered from eye discharge, flea infestation, long nails, severely matted fur and skin conditions.
No contest plea in Ohio puppy mill case: Two individuals have pleaded no contest to over 200 counts of animal cruelty, prompted by a raid on the property.
Honolulu puppy mill manager to be sentenced: The 153 counts of misdemeanor animal cruelty in this case arose are for the animals taken by the Hawaiian Humane Society on February 28, 2010. The corporation that owned the mill was fined $685,116.27, but it was found to have no assets to pay up.
