While there is a huge debate going on over the Blackfish documentary and the overall topic of what happens at Sea World, this clip from the film alone cuts into the credibility of Sea World.

The claim is made that Orcas live only around 35 years and have a lesser life span in the wild. The interviews  make a counter claim. I double-checked with other sites and found the average life span is indeed much longer in the wild – more life 50 to 80 years.

The blog Cetacean Inspiration also refutes the Sea World claim.
